We flew across the Andes to Iquitos in a StarPeru BAe-146, making a short stop in Pucallpa.
In Iquitos we first visited the Manatee Rescue Centre where we were able to feed young manatees and also saw a pygmy marmoset, otters and red macaws.
We then boarded the Queen Violetta in the industrial dock area and cruised upstream along the Amazon, finally taking a late afternoon excursion in the skiff.
